Greetings,
Once more, we have a lot to report. We’ve been busy. Have a seat and let’s dig in!
- Conference Agenda Report and related resources
- Group Business Meetings service pamphlet revision
- Audio Intro Guide in English and Spanish
- Recovery shares online
- October Reaching Out
Several days ahead of schedule, we are pleased to announce that the 2026 Conference Agenda Report (CAR) has been posted. It is available to everyone electronically; if you or someone you know needs a copy on paper, please print locally. Our Common Welfare is the theme of this year’s conference. It Works: How and Why reminds us that “one way to look at placing our common welfare first is to say that each of us is equally responsible for NA’s well-being”; reading and responding to the CAR is one of the important ways members and groups take responsibility for our well-being and our future.
Three CAR surveys are also posted—one to set priorities for literature, service material, and discussion topics; one with questions related to gender-neutral and inclusive literature; and one with questions about drug replacement therapy / medication-assisted treatment in NA: helping members take root. We invite responses from any and all members, groups, service bodies, and workshops. The 2026 World Service Conference will be discussion-driven. This means that conference participants will be asked to participate in many sessions in which we’re doing more than tallying yes or no answers. Interested members and groups who want to have a voice in these conversations can do so both by filling out the surveys and by having discussions locally and making sure your conference participants have your input. The surveys are open for input until 1 April 2026. We will also post workshop materials, PowerPoints, and videos to support you in this important work. Thanks to everyone who takes part in the process.
While you’ve got your service hat on, you might want to review the Group Business Meetings service pamphlet revision, with new sections on decision-making and delegation. This SP is up for review and input until 8 January. Your ideas matter as we strive to make this the best service pamphlet it can be.
An Introductory Guide to Narcotics Anonymous is a collection of IPs and a chapter from the Basic Text meant to give newcomers and those incarcerated the basics they need to get started. It is now available on audio in English and Spanish on the same webpage as the audio Basic Text.
While you’re enjoying NA recovery on audio, we encourage you to check out the offerings on the WCNA page: In addition to almost a dozen workshops from WCNA, we now have audio from the Unity Day online extravaganza! Enjoy, and share with your friends. It’s free!
But wait – there’s more! The October issue of Reaching Out has been posted. This quarterly publication for those incarcerated now includes a new section: “Transitioning From the Inside to the Outside,” to help members build a bridge to a new life on the outside. Check it out!
Whew. Thanks for hanging in for all this news. We are so happy to be working together with you for Our Common Welfare, and we look forward to your feedback!
In loving service,
World Board
