Greetings,
We are writing to let you know about H&I Basics, IP #21, Staying Clean in Isolation, and opportunities to volunteer.
We are so pleased to present the newly revised H&I Basics. This handy three-in-one tool offers sections on Treatment, Corrections, and H&I Committees, and will be available soon (likely next week) as one catalog item, or online at the PR page or the Basics page, where you can access the three parts separately if you choose.
Because of its three-part structure, H&I Basics has been in development for quite some time, and has benefited from input from across the NA service system. It is intended to help members and service committees provide effective and rewarding service through H&I.
We hope you find this new service material useful in your efforts to carry the message.
IP #21 had originally been written decades ago, and was dearly in need of an update. The new version, adopted unanimously at WSC 2026, addresses the many ways we may find ourselves isolated—and the many ways we might find connection, including tools and resources that didn’t exist before the pandemic. Read the revised IP online, or, beginning next week, order it in the webstore.
Get involved! There will be many opportunities this cycle for members to be involved in projects. The Volunteer/Focus Group Form asks you to identify skills, interests, and experience that correspond to upcoming projects. We will reach out as needs arise. (Please be patient—not all projects begin or end at the same time, and there won’t be opportunities for everyone to join a focus group.) Your willingness makes all the difference: member voices are the key ingredient in so much of our work!
In loving service,
World Board
